Piper Companies is seeking a Lead UX Designer, to join one of the largest federal credit unions. The Lead UX Designer will design user experiences using flows, journeys, architecture diagrams, sketches, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs informed by research and best practices.

Responsibilities of the Lead UX Designer include:
- Own the creative process from ideation to final deliverable, partnering with UX strategists, researchers, designers, writers, and UI designers.
- Translate complex problems into practical design solutions grounded in data and insights across all lines of business.
- Visualize the user experience through flows, journeys, architecture diagrams, wireframes, and hi-fidelity designs based on research and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with product managers to ensure design solutions meet success criteria and align with product vision.
- Gather and synthesize design inputs (qual/quant data, research, competitive analysis, business and regulatory requirements) to inform design decisions.
Qualifications for the Lead UX Designer include:
- 5+ years of experience in digital design, preferably with a financial institution or fintech.
- Experience designing native mobile and responsive web applications.
- Proficiency in UX tools and collaboration platforms such as Sketch, InVision, Axure, Miro/Mural.
- Familiarity with inclusive design and accessibility standards, including WCAG guidelines.
- Ability to understand the big picture, take ownership, and tackle problems proactively.
- Bachelor's degree in user experience design, graphic design, human factors, or a related field
Compensation for the Lead UX Designer include:
- Salary: $150,000 - $160,000
