Description

We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Senior Analyst, Enterprise IT Infrastructure in Norfolk, Virginia. This role is crucial in the manufacturing industry, where you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures. Your role will also include ensuring optimal performance, security, scalability, and overseeing virtualization support.

Responsibilities
Oversee the installation, support, and maintenance of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and WiFi access points.
Lead the design and deployment of Cisco-based network solutions, including LAN/WAN, WiFi, Access Control systems, and IaaS (Azure & AWS).
Manage day-to-day operation and maintenance of the network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats.
Utilize advanced monitoring tools, such as Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), to track network performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively address potential issues.
Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Nutanix infrastructure.
Implement and enforce security policies and procedures for Nutanix environments.
Use advanced monitoring tools, including Nutanix Prism, to track performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively address potential issues.
Maintain detailed network documentation, including design diagrams, configuration files, and standard operating procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and application development, to support business initiatives and troubleshoot network-related issues.
Coordinate with Cisco and other network equipment vendors to ensure timely support and resolution of technical issues.
Provide guidance and training to entry level network engineers and IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Stay current with emerging network technologies and trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the company's network infrastructure.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Manufacturing industry role
Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
Demonstrated knowledge of Checkpoint
Experience with Cisco ASA
Familiarity with Cisco Routers and Cisco Technologies
Proven skills in AB Testing
Competency in Backup Technologies
Strong understanding of Computer Hardware
Experience in Configuration Management
Prior work in a Datacenter environment
