Position Summary:
Title: Technical Writer ERP Replacement
Duration: Long Term
Location: Washington, DC 20433
Hybrid Onsite: 4 Days per week from Day1.
- ERP Replacement Technical Writer will be responsible for providing support to the ERP Team and helping to create and maintain all procedures, user manuals, and web content related to the ERP Replacement function.
- Responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining technical documentation for ERP Replacement Team.
- Write and edit technical documentation, including but not limited to IT processes and workflows, Quick Reference Guides, Quick Tips (one page "how-to's ), training manuals, release notes, etc.
- Ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand and appropriate snapshots or graphical aids are in place.
- Follow corporate style guides to ensure a consistent look and feel for documentation.
- Communicate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), software engineers/developers, to define product requirements and specifications for documentation, when appropriate
- Maintain files and technical documents in document repository.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including strong editing, grammar and proofreading skills
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Project) and other
- Proficient with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Good graphics skills using Visio or desktop graphics packages
- Good understanding/knowledge of web applications
- Familiar with systems development lifecycle
- Ability to work in a dynamic team-oriented environment as well as independently
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities
