Cybersecurity Business Development Lead

Unison Systems is looking for a Cybersecurity Business Development Practice Lead to help grow our Cybersecurity practice. This person will be working hand in hand with our current clients to find opportunities to serve them. This person must be able to have in-depth conversations when it comes to security, compliance, regulations, etc. They must have exceptional communication skills and the ability to connect with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.

Prefer to have a CISSP or similar security certificate. Must have Utility Industry experience. Any compliance or regulatory background could work too. 100% remote out of Houston, Texas. Must be able to travel to client sites in Houston and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Focus on selling our IT cyber security services.
  • Use your subject- matter expertise to advise companies in securing and protecting physical, monetary and information capital, such as office buildings, industrial and operational control systems, investments, computer systems or other items.


Education | Experience:

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering Management, or equivalent work experience in related discipline.
  • At least 5-10 years of hands-on experience in the IT industry working with complex, large-scale IT technical environments and control systems.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience within the information security field including aspects of operations, support, security testing, vulnerability, and threat assessment.
  • Demonstrated understanding and implementation of established Security frameworks & methodologies (e.g. NIST 800 series, ISO 27000 series, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success in the management and reporting of compliance environments in one or more of these areas:
  • Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC CIP)
  • Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)
  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  • Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)
  • Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX)
  • NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
  • Comprehensive hands-on experience and knowledge of hardening systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Windows, UNIX, and networking administration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of forensic investigative techniques.
  • Practical knowledge of network and communications systems and equipment.
  • Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one when required.
  • Leadership skills with an entrepreneurial spirit to grow the Cybersecurity practice.


Certifications:
  • (at least one of these or in route in getting one within 12 months of hire)Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) - (ISC)2
  • Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM) - ISACA
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) - ISACA
