Title: Intern - Product Engineer

As a Product Engineer - Intern you will be fully integrated into day-to-day operations focused on the design and testing of the next generation of Internet-connected cameras and connected home products. You'll be working with our entire team of experienced engineers to ensure that we are delivering the best possible product to our customers.

The ideal candidate will be a current student, recent college grad (or equivalent experience) in software or hardware engineering. The hours for this position can be flexible (approx 15-20 hrs per week) given your schedule and will require you to be in our office in Carlsbad.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work within the project management group to understand product requirements, develop and execute test plans, and report on test results
Track, assemble, test, and help with support product development and other internal product design and test efforts
Setup, debug, test, and ship our prototypes for the entire engineering team.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

Seeking a degree (or in-process) in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or similar field of study or experience in one or more of the following:

  • Familiar with embedded systems, connected internet products and/ or IOS and Android apps
  • Familiar with networking protocols and embedded Linux environment
  • Familiar with basic hardware test equipment and hardware design and troubleshooting
  • Basic IT support/networking/software development experience helpful

Required Education:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of higher level college education (Bachelor's in progress), or equivalent experience, in the above areas.

For U.S. applicants only: The pay range for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at commencement of employment and is expected to be between $20-22/hr. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including location, role, job-related knowledge, skills, relevant education and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including bonus, equity, and a full range of benefits.
