Corporate Credit Analytics provides a breadth of credit reporting and analytics to Executive Management across the entire Bancorporation. The analytics help support and drive risk mitigation strategies and policy changes. Many of the analytics projects are extremely fast paced and require a broad use of tools to query, analyze, and summarize information quickly.

We are seeking a Credit Risk Analyst Intern to join our Corporate Credit Analytics team.

Responsibilities:

Query and validate data from various sources in the Bancorporation's data environment

Use analytic techniques to assess risk in credit portfolios

Assist in comparing the credit portfolio to that of peer banks

Maintain framework used to manage credit risk (evaluate credit metrics)

Various clean-up/data projects

Qualifications:

Currently working on a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Economics, Computer Science, Finance or a related degree

Exposure to statistical programming software (Python, R, SAS) and data visualization tools (PowerBI)

Experience working with large data sets

Basic understanding of SQL

Interest in portfolio risk management and statistical analysis

Requires strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to make sound decisions and be inquisitive - not afraid to ask questions or make recommendations.

Working knowledge of computer software programs including spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), word processing, etc.
