Network Security Operations Engineer- W2 only, 3rd shift- 10pm-6am
Overview
We re looking for a Network Security Operations Engineer to help design, build, and maintain secure and resilient systems that protect our organization s technology environment. In this role, you ll work closely with cybersecurity architects, infrastructure teams, and business partners to engineer secure solutions, reduce risk, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards. You ll play a key role in strengthening our defenses, improving processes, and supporting the delivery of secure, reliable technology across the company.
What You ll Do
Design and Build Security Solutions:
Work with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to develop and implement secure systems and applications that align with our overall security roadmap and business goals.Manage Risk and Compliance:
Identify and address security risks, support remediation efforts, and make sure all solutions meet audit, regulatory, and policy requirements.Provide Technical Expertise:
Act as a subject matter expert for the security tools and technologies you support. Help troubleshoot complex issues and guide teams during project delivery and production.Support Architecture and Design:
Analyze existing and proposed security architectures to ensure they re resilient, scalable, and aligned with our risk tolerance.Collaborate Across Teams:
Partner with engineers, architects, and project managers to integrate security requirements into system designs and technology projects.Vendor and Partner Coordination:
Work with external vendors and technology partners to manage solutions and ensure they meet our security standards.Stay Current and Evolve:
Keep up with emerging security trends, attack methods, and technologies to help us continuously strengthen our defenses.Own Risk Escalation:
Monitor for issues that could impact customers or operations and quickly escalate them when needed.
What You ll Bring
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in Information Security, Application Security, Security Engineering, or a related discipline.
Solid understanding of network and application security principles.
Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
Experience with tools such as firewalls, SIEM systems, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.
Ability to script or automate processes is a plus (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.
