Description

We are looking for an IT Support Technician with strong organizational skills to join our team in Sacramento, California. In this Contract to Permanent position, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless operations across systems, networks, and cloud environments, primarily within a Microsoft-based infrastructure. This role emphasizes delivering exceptional user support while managing and troubleshooting advanced IT systems.

Responsibilities:

Deliver effective support for Windows servers, desktops, and cloud environments, ensuring optimal system performance.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to VLANs, routing, and network connectivity.

Act as a point of escalation for complex service requests and critical outages.

Monitor system alerts and execute appropriate response procedures to maintain system reliability.

Analyze system logs to identify and address underlying problems.

Support and maintain key applications, ensuring they meet user needs and performance standards.

Train and mentor less experienced team members, fostering growth and technical expertise.

Participate in after-hours support rotation to address urgent technical issues.

Manage Active Directory and Group Policies to maintain secure and efficient system access.

Collaborate with teams to implement and optimize firewall and network switch configurations.

Requirements

Proficiency in Windows Server and desktop environments.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms.
Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy management.
Familiarity with VLANs, routing, and network troubleshooting.
Understanding of firewall technologies and network switches.
Hands-on experience with cloud tools and technologies.
Ability to analyze system logs and resolve technical issues.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
