Lead Data Analyst (Property & Casualty Insurance)
Location: Boston, MA 4 days/week onsite (Local or nearby candidates only)
Interview: F2F required

Pay Rate: $60/hr C2C

Required Skills & Experience
- 13+ years of experience with deep expertise in data analysis.
- Strong experience querying relational databases and writing advanced SQL.
- Hands-on experience with ETL process analysis (not development).
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data mapping, and data transformation.
- Property & Casualty insurance domain experience is mandatory.
- Experience working within SDLC frameworks including project planning and estimation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor team members.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.
- Ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams.
Highly Desired Skills
- Experience with statutory, regulatory, and compliance reporting.
- Familiarity with DB2 and SQL Server databases.
- Exposure to cloud data technologies.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Prior supervisory or team-lead experience.
- Ability to think creatively, challenge the status quo, and drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, clarify, and document business and technical requirements for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide detailed work estimates and timeline guidance to Project Managers.
- Develop functional and system specifications using SDLC methodologies and industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate closely with development teams throughout all phases of the SDLC.
- Create use cases, data mapping documents, transformation logic, and testing requirements.
- Support the design, testing, and monitoring of all changes affecting compliance reporting and regulatory submissions.
- Investigate new data sources, assess data quality, perform table modeling, and write complex SQL queries.
- Assist in linking and flattening datasets from multiple systems to support analytics and reporting.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and perform unit, integration, user acceptance, and performance testing.
- Lead requirement and testing workstreams while partnering effectively with business and IT teams.
- Oversee assigned compliance and regulatory submissions including monitoring, balancing, report creation, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Support audits, market conduct exams, and data inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship, direction, and guidance to junior analysts; lead small teams and project workstreams.
