Hybrid onsite in Hartford, CT

The Staffing Coordinator role offers an exciting opportunity to work within The Hartford's Strategic Talent Partners organization. This position works as a member of a fast-paced, high-energy and highly visible team.

Opportunity to interact with job applicants, new hires and business partners and play an important part in placing key talent within The Hartford. Partner with an inclusive and experienced team of recruiters and coordinators. Significantly contribute in creating a positive candidate and new hire experience by flawlessly scheduling interviews, responding to inquiries and processing critical transactions in a timely manner. Apply and develop a continuous improvement mindset by identifying process improvement opportunities and working to put a solution in place.
The major areas of support include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages high volume of candidate scheduling, correspondence, and following-up while providing excellent service.
  • Uses appropriate tools and templates to flawlessly schedule candidate interviews, make required travel arrangements, schedule conference rooms and communicate to recruiters, candidates and hiring managers.
  • Provides timely and customer-focused service to internal and external constituents (e.g., recruiters, candidates and interviewers).
  • Identifies and escalates improvement suggestions to internal talent management processes and tools

Qualifications:

  • College degree or 2+ years equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with the Workday applicant tracking system required
  • Outlook calendaring and scheduling required
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook required. OneNote, Excel, and PowerPoint minimal skills required
  • Experience in a recruiting firm/department a plus
  • Candidate must be a self-starter and be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize work and shift tasks based on urgency with little direct supervision
  • Strong multi-tasking ability as well as demonstrated proficiency in planning, follow-through, scheduling, time management and organizing required
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, turnaround times, and streamline work processes
