Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Ariba Techno-Functional Consultant for a long-term engagement with the State of Maryland. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP Ariba s upstream modules with technical-functional expertise and the ability to lead complex implementations. This role requires a hands-on professional capable of guiding stakeholders through all phases of solution design, integration, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in the design, implementation, and deployment of SAP Ariba On-Demand solutions, with strong focus on Upstream modules (SLP, Sourcing, Contracting).

  • Facilitate Fit-Gap analysis workshops, document custom requirements, and drive solution design to align with client objectives.

  • Deliver product demonstrations and presentations, tailoring content to client-specific needs and business scenarios.

  • Conduct discovery sessions to understand client requirements, process flows, and integration touchpoints.

  • Lead configuration, testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support.

  • Provide expertise on Ariba network integration, and support downstream processes like Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Invoicing, and Ariba Procurement Content.

  • Collaborate with remote and on-site teams in a multi-vendor and international environment.

  • Support post-implementation troubleshooting and enhancements.

  • Ensure solutions are scoped accurately and delivered according to client expectations and project timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 14+ years of overall SAP experience with strong techno-functional background in SAP Ariba.

  • Proven expertise in Ariba Upstream modules:

    • Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP)

    • Sourcing

    • Contract Management

  • Exposure to Ariba Downstream modules (P2P, Invoicing, Procurement Content).

  • Hands-on experience with Ariba network integration, technical layers, and cloud integration with SAP ECC.

  • Strong knowledge of SAP Best Practices and SAP Implementation Methodology.

  • Ability to design custom workflow solutions aligned to business processes.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and client engagement skills.

  • Passion for delivering high-quality solutions in a collaborative, high-pressure environment.
