Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer - DNS/DHCP to join our Network Connectivity Platform (NCP) Team. This role is responsible for the configuration, management, and optimization of DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) services that support enterprise-wide network operations across various sites. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of DDI technologies, network infrastructure, and best practices in high-availability environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and manage DNS servers, zones, and records to ensure accurate and responsive resolution.
  • Maintain secure and efficient DHCP services, including lease monitoring, issue resolution, and address pool optimization.
  • Conduct IP address planning, allocation, and tracking, while maintaining accurate IPAM documentation and utilization reporting.
  • Collaborate with network engineering teams to integrate DDI services into the broader infrastructure and participate in network design initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot DNS and DHCP-related connectivity issues, ensuring minimal downtime and swift resolution of incidents.
  • Implement security policies and protective measures such as DNSSEC and DDoS mitigation across DDI services.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal security protocols.
  • Maintain detailed, up-to-date documentation of all configurations, procedures, and change activities.
  • Provide timely incident response and escalate critical issues as necessary to maintain service integrity.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise DDI platforms, preferably BlueCat.
  • Strong proficiency in core networking services: DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, subnetting, and IP address space management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting complex network-related issues.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, DNS encryption, and secure DDI configurations.
  • Scripting and automation experience using Perl, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Exposure to log analysis and data monitoring tools such as Splunk.
  • Experience working in Linux environments including scripting and file system management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and support teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
