IT Continuity of Operations (COOP) Planner

Location: Redstone Arsenal, Alabama

Clearance: Secret

Description:

HigherEchelon is seeking a COOP Planner that will ensure the resilience and continuity of IT operations for AMC in the event of disruptions or disasters. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive contingency plans.

This role is contingent upon contract award.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain IT contingency plans.

Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses.

Develop and implement disaster recovery plans.

Test and exercise contingency plans to ensure effectiveness.

Develop and deliver training programs for stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Required Skills:

Knowledge of IT contingency planning and disaster recovery principles.

Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.

Excellent communication and training abilities.

Proficiency in IT systems and infrastructure.

Familiarity with Army regulations (e.g., AR 25-1, AR 25-2) and NIST standards.


Must have a Secret security clearance

Desired Skills:

Experience with DoD-specific COOP planning (e.g., DI-MISC-80508B).

Familiarity with enterprise-level disaster recovery tools.

Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-34).

Experience with risk management software (e.g., eMASS).

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Emergency Management, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in IT contingency planning or disaster recovery.

Certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or CISSP are preferred.
