About this Position:
Job Title: Network & Systems Administrator
Key Responsibilities:
Server & Workstation Administration.
Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers, virtual machines, and workstations.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and password security in coordination with Client.
Monitor system performance, perform preventive maintenance, and apply necessary updates, patches, and upgrades.
Maintain and document backup procedures and disaster recovery plans.
Network Administration.
Administer switches, firewalls, routers, wireless access points, and security appliances.
Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and proactively address potential bottlenecks.
Implement and manage VPN tunnels, network segmentation, and alert systems.
Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and configuration records.
Security & Compliance.
Deploy and manage antivirus, firewall, and intrusion detection/prevention solutions.
Conduct regular security audits and respond immediately to security incidents.
Ensure systems handling sensitive client data meet HIPAA compliance standards.
Email & Internet Services.
Manage email accounts, domains, and storage policies.
Ensure email system reliability, efficiency, and compliance with record-keeping requirements.
Support and maintain organization websites and internet services.
End-User Support.
Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated desktop and application issues.
Assist in deploying hardware/software and resolving user hardware and connectivity issues.
Support the operation of the help desk ticketing system and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in network and systems administration, preferably in a multi-site environment.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2019 2022), Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and Linux (Ubuntu).
Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, routing/switching, and network monitoring tools.
Familiarity with backup/recovery solutions, Office 365, Exchange, and email domain management.
Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance and cybersecurity best practices.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, MCSA, or VMware Certified Professional preferred.
