Job Details

Software Engineering and Development ( State Street Bank and Trust Company; Princeton, NJ): Will work as a technical leader in an Agile team of developers, testers, and analysts across geographic locations in US, India and China and will provide leadership in solution development. Will architect, design, develop, and implement solutions for sanctions screening using Unix, Oracle, MQ, and Big Data. Will write code and perform code reviews using Unix Shell scripts, Oracle SQL and Autosys. Will perform deployments of application in Cloud environment in Linux and will implement vendor products for screening including main application in Unix and utilities in Windows. Will work with business analysts and translate business requirements into technical specifications. Will perform L4 production support to resolve issues escalated by the production support team. Will oversee work of other developers and will mentor junior developers. The position does not have direct reports or supervisory responsibilities. The role is expected to mentor junior developers in understanding technical design and to share with them best practices used in writing code. The role is expected to perform Code review of code written by other developers which is a standard business practice in Development teams. The role is not responsible for assigning work to other developers. 1% domestic travel within northeast region.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field; and 6 years of experience in a technical role.

Must have: Demonstrated experience with SQL PL/SQL and SQL script programming; Demonstrated experience with UNIX/Linux scripting tools; Demonstrated experience with ETL tools using Informatica/DataStage; Demonstrated experience with Oracle data modelling and design technologies; Proven knowledge of Big Data and Business intelligence technologies; Proven problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills; Proven ability to work equally with business and technology partners; and Proven ability to work both independently as well as within a team.
