Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst local in Richmond, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in business analysis, with a proven track record of success in analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective solutions.
Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

  2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

  3. Develop detailed business requirements documents, user stories, and process flows to support the implementation of new systems and enhancements.

  4. Lead cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.

  5. Analyze and interpret data to generate insights and recommendations for decision-making.

  6. Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current state and desired future state, proposing solutions to bridge the gap.

  7. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating communication and ensuring that requirements are understood and implemented accurately.

  8. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

  9. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in business analysis and technology, applying knowledge to drive innovation and efficiency within the organization.

  10. Support the testing and validation of new systems and enhancements, ensuring that they meet business requirements and quality standards.



Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

  2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on process improvement and systems implementation.

  3. Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques.

  4. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion.

  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  6. Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments.

  7. Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).

  8. Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.

  9. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
