Title: AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: Houston, TX 77046
Schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Length: Contract to end of year (possible extension)
Compensation: $90-132.74/hr w2
- This team analyzes the data, builds algorithms and patterns around it. Implementing machine learning strategies, data science models in Python (on AWS and Azure)
- Will be responsible for evaluating the Python code and seeing where to optimize.
- Terraform IaC, CLI workflows will be primary responsibility, provisioning infrastructure to handle higher volumes as they scale the platform and incorporate more models.
- Do have a library of CI/CD components that they can pull from, but new module builds and automations are needed. All through Terraform, not using any other tooling.
- Provisioning EC2s
- Will work with IAM and Security teams but will not be responsible for any security configs or access management
- C# nice to have--currently have a lot of applications in C#, wouldnt be responsible for developing code, but would like them to have an understanding to make recommendations (i.e. where they can potentially convert Python to C#)
- UI/UX experience--very basic, ability to help make recommendations as to how new features should look, but not doing development.
- Heavy on AWS, Terraform, CI/CD; the Python, C# and UI/UX recommendations will be a much smaller portion of the work.
