Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure API Management (APIM) Developer/Administrator with extensive experience in designing, developing, and managing enterprise-grade APIs using Microsoft Azure APIM. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, strong hands-on expertise in Azure integration services, and a proven track record of managing secure and scalable API solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and administer APIs using Azure API Management (APIM) platform.
  • Configure API policies, security, rate limiting, caching, and transformations in APIM.
  • Manage API versioning, revisioning, and life cycle.
  • Work closely with developers and solution architects to integrate backend services (Azure Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, etc.).
  • Implement authentication and authorization strategies including OAuth 2.0, JWT, Azure AD B2C/B2B.
  • Monitor API usage and performance through Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  • Support APIM deployment automation using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate APIs with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance and integration issues in a production environment.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of overall experience in cloud, integration, or middleware technologies.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM).
  • Strong experience with Azure services: Logic Apps, Functions, Event Grid, App Services.
  • Proficient in RESTful API design, OpenAPI/Swagger specs, and API security practices.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably in Azure DevOps.
  • Good understanding of containerization and microservices architecture is a plus.
  • Experience in PowerShell, ARM Templates, Terraform, or Bicep for infrastructure automation.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
