Job Details
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to support technology and IT project initiatives. This role works closely with project teams, finance departments, and other stakeholders to develop, monitor, and analyze budgets, ensuring that IT expenditures align with organizational objectives, financial guidelines, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, experience in financial planning, and familiarity with technology projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial support and resolve issues arising in IT project budgets and reporting
- Develop, review, and consolidate financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning and management decisions
- Monitor and analyze actual expenditures versus budgets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for management
- Manage financials for critical projects outside standard analyst responsibilities as assigned by leadership
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Support finance managers in evaluating the financial impact of strategic and tactical resource allocation plans
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in budget analysis, financial planning, or related roles (utility experience preferred)
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software (e.g., SAP, BOBJ, Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, or other relevant graduate degree
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, software development, or technology project management
- Experience in preparing forecasts, modeling, and variance analysis for large-scale projects
