- Work Arrangement: Remote
- Contract: This is a Contract position.
- Mode of Interview: In-person/Webcam (Hybrid interview process).
Key Responsibilities
- Code Refactoring & Optimization: Review, rewrite, and optimize Oracle PL/SQL packages, functions, triggers, and views for migration to a cloud environment (AWS).
- Legacy Analysis: Analyze, document, and refactor core logic modules, including complex sentence computation and classification logic, from legacy, potentially undocumented, code.
- Data & ETL: Extract, map, validate, and transform data to support ETL and database conversion activities, ensuring data integrity during schema transformation.
- Reporting Migration: Migrate legacy reporting platforms, specifically Crystal Reports, to a modern reporting platform compatible with AWS.
- UI/Front-End: Convert legacy DHTML-based UI forms to modern formats as part of the overall system redesign.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with a third-party vendor and internal teams to clarify requirements and support all modernization efforts.
Required Technical Skills
- Expert Oracle PL/SQL: Expert knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL including procedures, functions, triggers, packages, and views.
- SQL Mastery: Strong SQL expertise, including advanced query optimization and performance tuning.
- Modernization Readiness: Experience with data migration, ETL workflows, and schema transformation.
- Legacy Systems: Ability to understand and document logic from legacy applications, including DHTML front-end forms and undocumented code.
- Automation: Familiarity with task schedulers for data automation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS database and reporting services (e.g., QuickSight).
- Knowledge of BI/reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Scripting experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Experience with Offender Management or enterprise justice systems.
