Are you a hands-on IT professional ready to pivot into a more strategic, client-facing role? This full-time Assistant vCIO position in Charlotte, NC is a fantastic opportunity to work with a top-tier MSP that services a dynamic and diverse client base. You'll support IT leaders and business owners by guiding them through technical roadmaps, vendor decisions, and overall IT strategy-while still keeping your technical skills sharp.
This is the ideal stepping-stone for a tech-savvy individual who enjoys problem-solving but also wants to grow into a business-minded, client-focused position. You'll work closely with senior vCIOs to help translate business needs into IT priorities for clients ranging from legal firms to non-profits to tech startups. The #1 feature of this role? Career trajectory. You'll gain exposure to budgeting, vendor negotiations, and strategic planning while learning how to operate like a virtual CIO. Required Skills & Experience
1-5 years in IT support, systems administration, or network support (MSP experience preferred)
Strong foundational knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and basic networking
Excellent communication skills and a desire to work directly with clients
Organized, proactive, and comfortable discussing business outcomes-not just technical fixes
Desired Skills & Experience
Exposure to client-facing roles such as account management or project coordination
Experience with MSP tools (ConnectWise, Autotask, Kaseya, etc.)
Understanding of vendor and licensing management
Interest in sales, consulting, or business development within the IT space
