Job Title: Technical Architect SAP S/4HANA Migration
Location: Washington, D.C (Remote)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect with strong experience in SAP S/4HANA, including ECC to S/4HANA transition, to lead end-to-end technical design, planning, and execution of migration projects. This role demands in-depth expertise in SAP system landscapes, migration methodologies, and the ability to provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
- Serve as the technical lead for SAP S/4HANA migrations, particularly ECC to S/4HANA transitions (Greenfield, Brownfield, and Selective Data Transition approaches).
- Design the overall system architecture and integration strategy for S/4HANA landscape.
- Lead the technical assessment, system sizing, and readiness checks.
- Collaborate with functional teams, SAP Basis, and infrastructure teams to define and validate technical requirements.
- Develop and oversee the migration plan, including data migration strategy (SUM/DMO, SAP Migration Cockpit, etc.).
- Provide guidance on best practices, tools, and methods for SAP S/4HANA transition.
- Evaluate custom code impacts and support code remediation for compatibility with S/4HANA.
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and security across all technical layers.
- Participate in cutover planning and post-go-live support.
- Mentor technical teams and coordinate with external vendors or offshore teams as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of SAP technical experience, including 5+ years as a Technical Architect.
- Proven hands-on experience in SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration projects (at least one full-cycle migration).
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, SAP Basis, SAP HANA DB, and associated tools.
- Solid understanding of system integration (SAP and non-SAP), middleware, and interface strategies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- SAP certifications (S/4HANA or relevant) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:a
- Experience with cloud-based S/4HANA (SAP RISE or hyperscaler platforms).
- Exposure to SAP Solution Manager, SAP Activate methodology, and SAP BTP.
- Understanding of business processes in Finance, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing domains.
