Summary: This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with an Engineer Intern (EI) certification to gain hands-on experience in traffic studies, data analysis, and traffic engineering. You'll work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of projects, contributing to real-world solutions that impact communities.

General Responsibilities:
  • Assist in conducting traffic impact studies, signal warrant analyses, and corridor evaluations.
  • Collect, process, and analyze traffic data including volume counts, speed studies, and crash data.
  • Support the development of traffic models using tools such as Synchro, HCS, and VISSIM.
  • Prepare technical reports, figures, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct field visits and site assessments as needed.
  • Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to support project delivery.

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Engineer Intern (EI) certification required or in progress.

Required Experience:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with traffic engineering principles and software (coursework or internship experience is a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic GIS tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and grow in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships

Preferred Experience:
  • Internship or academic project experience involving FDOT standards or Florida-based transportation projects.
  • Exposure to FDOT's Traffic Engineering Manual (TEM) or Plans Preparation Manual (PPM) is a plus.
