Combat Systems Engineering applies highly diversified skills to produce Non-Propulsion Electronics System (NPES) and Strategic Weapons System (SWS) for US Navy nuclear submarines. Leveraging the latest in state-of-the-art technologies, NPES systems are provided for Sonar, Combat Control, Ship Control, Total Ship Monitoring, Tactical and Non-Tactical Data Processing, Exterior Communications, Navigation, ESM, Radar, Imaging, Periscope, Weapon Launch Control, and Weapons Shipping and Handling and SWS Support Systems (SWSS).

Department 445 - Strategic Weapons Systems Programs is looking for Test Engineers to support the following:
- SSBN Strategic Weapon Support Systems (SWSS) and/or SWS Navigation (NAV) Equipment
- SSGN Attack Weapon Support Systems (AWSS)
- Hovering and Missile Compensation Systems
- Electrical and/or Mechanical test procedure execution and change management for SSP/NAVSEA sponsored Ship Alterations
- Extended Refit Periods (ERPs) and UK LOP(R)s
Other responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with design, engineering and tech pubs to provide technical direction for the update and maintenance of SSBN/SSGN technical documentation (SMPs, SSMs, SWSSSMs, Tech manuals, WPs, CPs etc.)
- Support resolution of SWSS/AWSS Trouble Failure Reports (TFRs), Trouble Casualty Reports (TCRs), Liaison Action Requests (LARs), SUBS and TDENT messages.

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 4+ years of relevant experience with SWS, AWSS, SWS NAV, or Hovering/Missile Compensation systems
- Ability to obtain SECRET DoD Clearance
- Experience with submarine test programs and interface control
- Experience with the OHIO-class fleet's SWSS, AWSS, and compensation systems
- Active SECRET DoD Clearance
- Prior leadership or team coordination experience in a submarine or weapons systems engineering context
- Experience supporting technical documentation updates and configuration control
- Background interfacing with NAVSEA, SSP, or similar government/military entities
Skills
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Ability to work effectively with fleet personnel and government representatives
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced technical environment
