Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Assist engineers in the development, testing, and manufacturing of flight and prototype hardware.
2. Document assembly and test procedures, ensuring adherence to quality standards and internal training.
3. Fabricate and validate critical flight hardware, including mechanical and electrical assembly and flight Ground Support Equipment.
4. Interpret and work from engineering blueprints, ensuring accurate assembly and testing of aerospace hardware.
5. Provide technical support to the engineering team, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
6. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of new processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Technician, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing setting.
2. Proven experience in the fabrication and validation of critical flight hardware, including mechanical and electrical assembly.
3. Solid understanding of ESD sensitive environments.
4. Proficient in interpreting and working from engineering blueprints.
5. Knowledge of polymetrics and their application in the manufacturing process.
6. Previous experience working with NASA or similar organization is highly desirable, but not required.
7. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, contributing to a collaborative and supportive work culture.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
9. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a variety of audiences.
10. A strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
