The Consolidated Operations, Management, Engineering and Test (COMET) contract provides overall management and
implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Exploration Ground Systems, Space Launch System, Orion MultiPurpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.

We are seeking a system administrator with deep knowledge and broad experience across Linux-based technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements and researching, evaluating, designing, planning, deploying, and supporting Linux-based/open source software cybersecurity platforms and related technologies. This position will be working within the mission environment supporting the Artemis program.

Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Architect, deploy, configure and effectively manage Linux-based/open source software and cybersecurity tools.
Automate the deployment, monitoring and management of cybersecurity tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cybersecurity tool performance, data accuracy, and availability.
Define, document and follow standards and best practices for systems design, testing, and implementation.

Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, IT, cybersecurity, or related field, or at least three (3) years of IT/ cybersecurity experience. This position is posted for multiple levels. Job Requirements
Experience in Linux/Unix system administration.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation of tasks.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
