IT/OT Azure Consultant who has experience in Cloud Architecture, Engineering, Optimization, Day to Day Operations with an understanding the Scada and Aveva Platform.
The ideal candidate will have extensive IT/OT Azure consulting experience, including hands-on years as an Azure IT/OT Support Consultant managing cloud environments hosting Aveva SCADA solutions. They must bring strong Azure Cloud Architecture expertise along with deep systems engineering skills administering and overseeing Windows and Linux workloads, in addition to managing the network and storage components that support large-scale OT platforms. The role requires proven capability in cost optimization, including evaluating generational hardware, as well as implementing governance frameworks, endpoint protection strategies, and understanding how these controls impact OT systems. Candidates should have practical experience selecting and deploying the right Azure services, advanced knowledge of Azure AD/Entra, and skills in monitoring Azure assets such as switches, firewalls, and servers. They must be proficient in configuring logging, building dashboards, performing performance monitoring, sizing servers, spinning up VMs across multiple Azure networks, and reviewing network designs. A strong background in testing infrastructure resiliency and working with Azure Disaster Recovery/High Availability solutions is essential, especially for maintaining the survivability of SCADA systems that support critical utility operations across mesh and radio frequency-based OT networks. Experience troubleshooting complex network communication issues, integrating applications with an Aveva integrator, and securing the Aveva SCADA platform, including its ports and protocols, is required. Candidates should also have a history of interfacing with third-party vendors on behalf of clients in support of the Aveva platform. Finally, applicants must provide all relevant certifications, including the year completed and certification IDs.
