Location:ONSITE- Torrance, CA 90501
Rate:$85.00 - $92.50 HOURLY (W2 Only / H1 Transfer)

** LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY!! This position requires the candidates to work ONSITE with a few remote days.

Leadership/Project Management:
Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of analytics projects from inception to completion.
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.

Team Management:
Manage a team of data analysts, data engineers, and BI specialists, providing direction, coaching, and support.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.

Technical Expertise:
Utilize technical expertise to guide the team in designing and implementing data solutions.
Troubleshoot technical challenges and provide hands-on support when needed.
Experience in BI Technologies (Database, ETL, Reporting) and AWS Cloud solutions is a plus.
Design and implement ETL processes and data pipelines.
Lead troubleshooting and performance-tuning activities.

Project Planning/Documentation:
Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation and task assignments.
Ensure that projects are on track, within budget, and meet predefined success criteria.
Experience in Agile delivery methodology is a plus.
Maintain project documentation, including requirements, design documents, and project status reports.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and outcomes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and create data models.

Quality Assurance:
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability in all analytics projects.
Implement best practices and quality control measures.

Risk Management
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Proactively address issues and challenges that may arise during project execution.

Knowledge Sharing:
Promote knowledge sharing and best practice adoption within the team and across the organization.
Stay up to date with the latest BI features and best practices.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
**Must reside with in 40 miles of Torrance, CA, available to work ONSITE Full-time**
Data Architect who has experience with data engineering and ETL processes, including data modeling, database design, and data integration techniques.
** Experience providing technical leadership, leading other technical teams, receiving/approving code from vendors, design/lead technical standards, etc
** Prior experience transitioning data warehouse/data marts from onsite to AWS cloud, including leading many activities during this transition
Strong technical background with proficiency in data analytics tools/languages, using Databases, SQL, Informatica, Power BI, Business Objects and AWS Solutions and Technologies (e.g. Redshift, Glue).
Solid understanding/experience working with data-related disciplines and technologies, such as Data governance, Data security, and Data privacy best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to balance technical and project management responsibilities effectively.
EDUCATION: Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field.

DESIRED SKILLS
AWS certifications in data engineering
Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Agile)
Experience with Erwin is desired
