Job Description Summary
Design specific infrastructure solutions to support the broader technical architecture of how servers, networks, and storage systems work together to support the needs of the organization. Ensure that security, business operations, and business requirements are taken into account. Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical roadmaps, monitor infrastructure performance, and suggest improvements where necessary.

Job Description

This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 2-3 days a week(10-12 days a month ) at the following office location: St. Petersburg, FL.

Job Summary
As part of our IT Communication Services team, this Senior Python Engineer will analyze business requirements and problems and drive research to design quality technical solutions that support our enterprise phone system (automating and developing programs). As part of a development technology team, an individual analyzes business requirements and problems and drives research to design quality technical solutions. This individual will be involved in portions of the full systems life cycle (based on experience/skills) and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget. Handles complex problems independently and demonstrates analytical thinking. Is able to make judgements and recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation of data.

Responsibilities & Skills:
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Python required
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Javascript required
  • Go, Resolve or Powershell experience is nice to have
  • Build and optimize automation scripts and workflow tools using Python and JavaScript to eliminate manual processes, integrate with internal systems and APIs, and accelerate deployment and operational tasks.
  • Analyzes system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and sub systems.
  • Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or to reuse of existing code.
  • Obtains and evaluates information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.
  • Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation.
  • Provides technical advice and assists in solving programming problems
  • Write clean, modular Python code for reusable automation libraries and internal tooling.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring tasks.
  • Reviews test results; documents test activities, and records remedial actions.
  • Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.
  • Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements and flow charts.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Ability to:
  • Automate tasks and workflows using Python
  • Identify and understand issues/problems and recommend opportunities for improvement
  • Develop automation scripts using Python to streamline deployment and operational workflows.
  • Assist in building RESTful APIs and backend services to support scalable system integrations.
  • Automate routine tasks and data flows using Python and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver features
  • Integrate automation with platforms like ServiceNow to reduce manual processes.
  • Understand CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as a code (IaC) principles.
  • Use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; recommend or take action that is consistent with available facts, constraints and probable consequences.
  • Occasionally work a non-standard shift including nights and/or weekends and/or have on-call responsibilities.

Education
Bachelor's: Computer and Information Science, Bachelor's: Computer Engineering, High School (HS) (Required)
