Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Solution Architect to lead technical direction and support implementation for multilingual portal development using Azure Cognitive Services. This role will guide the architectural design and integration of language access capabilities into the platform, ensuring accessibility and usability for a diverse user base. The ideal candidate combines deep architectural expertise with practical coding skills and a strong understanding of public sector digital transformation initiatives.

Duties:

  • Provide technical leadership for the integration of Azure Cognitive Services, particularly translation and language detection, into multilingual web and mobile portals.

  • Define and implement the architecture for scalable, user-friendly multilingual portal experiences, ensuring compliance with accessibility and performance standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide the implementation of language access strategies, including translation workflows and multilingual content management.

  • Assist with hands-on development and coding tasks to support rapid prototyping, configuration, and delivery.

  • Evaluate and recommend best practices for cloud-based translation services and multilingual UX design.

  • Ensure architectural decisions align with project goals, timelines, and regulatory requirements.

  • Support knowledge transfer, documentation, and onboarding of technical teams to maintain solution sustainability.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience serving in an Architect role, leading the design and delivery of complex technology solutions.

  • Over 12 years of hands-on technical experience across enterprise IT environments.

  • Proven experience with Azure Cognitive Services, especially Language and Translator APIs.

  • Strong background in multilingual portal architecture and enterprise-level digital solutions.

  • Ability to architect and support scalable, secure, and accessible multilingual platforms.

  • Hands-on development experience (e.g., JavaScript, Power Platform, or related technologies).

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Experience working with government or public sector clients is preferred.
