Job Description:
The client is seeking a highly experienced, onsite Senior Project Manager to lead, coordinate, and oversee IT infrastructure and application projects across its airport facilities. This includes critical modernization efforts involving cloud migration, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, telecommunications (VoIP), data center optimization, and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the full lifecycle of complex IT projects including infrastructure upgrades, network design, SharePoint/SQL administration, cloud adoption, and cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management in accordance with airport operational requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure minimal disruption in this 24/7/365 airport environment.
  • Interface with third-party integrators, application providers, and consultants for SharePoint, Exchange, CMOD, VoIP (Cisco), and disaster recovery implementations.
  • Ensure documentation, compliance (e.g., NIST 800-34), disaster recovery protocols, and change management adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Provide weekly project updates, lead user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure stakeholder engagement across departments.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Skills :
  • Must have a decent 2-3 years of prior experience providing professional IT services in an airport or aviation environment (mandatory).
  • Bachelor?s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience managing IT infrastructure and systems projects of similar scope and complexity.
  • Demonstrated success with budget control, risk coordination, and enterprise-level resource management.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity compliance, VoIP systems, virtualization (VMware), Active Directory, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with ITIL-based operations, disaster recovery planning, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Any applicable state or federal IT-related licenses or certifications (e.g., cybersecurity, networking, or cloud-based certifications).
  • Familiarity with NIST compliance, ITIL, and FAA-related IT standards is a plus.
