Job Title: Lead Software Engineer - Vulnerability Response Engineering (Contingent Assignment)
Location: Charlotte, NC

About the Role

As a Lead Software Engineer on the Vulnerability Response Engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing scalable solutions for managing infrastructure, container, and application vulnerabilities using ServiceNow. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and cybersecurity standards.

This contingent role involves consulting on complex, large-scale software engineering initiatives and contributing to the resolution of multi-faceted technical challenges. You will be expected to apply deep technical expertise and strategic thinking to deliver secure, compliant, and high-impact solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of data models and workflows in the ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) module.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity, Technical Governance, Platform Architecture, and ServiceNow development teams to ensure scalable and secure engineering practices.
  • Analyze and resolve complex software engineering problems involving multiple systems and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices, compliance requirements, and enterprise standards.
  • Contribute to long-term planning and strategic initiatives within the Technology Exposure Management group.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or a related field, demonstrated through work experience, consulting, military service, or education.
  • Proven experience with ServiceNow development, particularly in the Vulnerability Response module.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, infrastructure, and application security.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical teams.
