Salary: $160,000.00 USD Annually - $170,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead and expand their geo-engineering services in the Greater Philadelphia area. This is a Principal-level or Senior Consultant opportunity with potential for ownership and leadership within a nationally recognized firm.

The ideal candidate will have a strong reputation in the Philadelphia market and a network of client relationships to support the growth of the local practice. You'll collaborate with a national team of geotechnical experts and contribute to a wide range of infrastructure projects including buildings, bridges, highways, tunnels, marine developments, and more.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from proposal through execution.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for technical, contractual, and financial matters.
  • Develop and grow the local geotechnical practice in collaboration with corporate leadership and marketing teams.
  • Conduct and review technical analyses using software such as SEEP/W, SLOPE/W, SIGMA/W, Settle3, L-Pile, GRLWEAP, DeepEx, Plaxis, and others.
  • Prepare and review proposals, reports, and QA/QC documentation.
  • Mentor, train, and manage junior staff; participate in hiring and performance reviews.
  • Support business development and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Attend client meetings and agency consultations as needed.
Qualifications
  • Education: BS and MS in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Experience: 15+ years in geotechnical engineering, with at least 5 years in the Philadelphia market.
  • Licensure: PE in PA and NJ required; additional state licenses are a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and geotechnical software tools.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Other: Must be willing to travel for client meetings and site visits; reliable transportation required.
