Job Description:
Candidates will be assigned one site to start but must be flexible site assignments may change during the contract.
Client's IT Support is the first point of contact for technical support requests from Corporate and subsidiary employees worldwide. The Support Engineer II will be customer-focused, motivated by team success, and able to adapt quickly to evolving processes while handling a high volume of support inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic technical support to Corporate employees.
- Respond to requests via web chat, calls, email, and ticketing systems in a timely manner.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot end-user computing issues, test solutions, and ensure full resolution.
- Log all interactions thoroughly and accurately.
- Inform users of needed repairs and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Follow standard operating procedures and use internal knowledge management tools.
- Stay current with relevant technical policies and procedures.
- Support AV equipment and teleconferencing systems.
- Help triage and escalate system/network outages to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to assigned shift schedules; flexibility required for some weekends and holidays.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Onsite IT support via ticketing system
- Hands-on interaction with employees for tech support needs
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years supporting Windows, Mac, and/or Linux OS in a corporate setting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 2+ years in helpdesk or desk-side support roles
- Experience with Windows and Mac OS environments
- Strong verbal communication and ability to work with both technical and non-technical staff
- Independent and team-oriented work capability
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or IT-related field
- Microsoft MCSE or MCITP (Active Directory)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with Linux systems
- Ability to explain complex IT issues in simple terms
- 2+ years supporting Windows, Mac, and/or Linux OS in corporate settings
- 2+ years in helpdesk or desk-side support
- Strong communication and customer service skills
