SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER

Local candidates only as this is a hybrid position onsite at our corporate office downtown Milwaukee.

Hybrid schedule: Onsite Mon, Tue, and Wed. Remote Thur and Fri

Contract through end of 2025

Job Responsibilities:

As a member of the Network Core Engineering team, your role will encompass the following key responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of the installation, deployment, provisioning, communication, and documentation of the network infrastructure, hardware, and software, ensuring their alignment with the needs of the business.
  • Deliver exceptional services that align with the strategic objectives of the organization, encompassing service management, risk management, and successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of network services with broader organizational goals.

What this role needs:

The ideal candidate for this role must possess senior-level expertise in the following technologies:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience is required, with a recommended 8-10 years of experience.
  • A solid understanding of network architectures, such as spine and leaf, is essential.
  • Proficiency in spanning tree, VLANs, and EVPN is highly valued.
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting BGP is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of these technologies, coupled with a proven track record of practical application and troubleshooting. Their expertise will contribute significantly to the smooth operation and optimization of our network infrastructure.

Experience in the following technologies a plus:
  • Cisco/Arista/Juniper routers and switches
  • F5
  • Infoblox/DNS
  • Arista - CVP (Cloud Vision Portal)
  • Python
  • NSX
