Job: : Software QA/QC Specialist

Location: Sugar Land, TX 77478

Term: 6 month CTH

Rate/Salary: up to $45/hr on W2 - No Benefits / Salary - $70,000

Interview Process: 2/3 rounds, first one is virtual (possibility to be onsite)

Reason for Opening: Company is growing/Product Expansion

Project/Day to Day: Will be a one man team , they will be doing software testing, managing the QA/QC when it gets released as soon as possible, resolve bugs. Will be working closely with the software team.

When should this person start? First week of December

Hours: 9-6

Remote: Onsite, open to progressing to hybrid.

TOP SKILLS:

  • Has embedded device and mobile application.
  • Having experience testing software inputs and outputs.
  • Experience in defining a scope for automated testing of software.
  • C++ and QT (This is a plus)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans, including performance, compatibility, UI/UX, I/O, and release testing.
  • Define scope for manual and automated testing; suggest improvements to testability.
  • Perform detailed, repeated validation and testing of smartphone software and handheld, embedded devices.
  • Test functionality of Android and iOS smartphone apps and Linux based handheld rugged devices.
  • Test software I/O s; document and communicate results.
  • Review software documentation and requirements; contribute to product design from a quality perspective.
  • Evaluate and report on vendor-supplied hardware/software during R&D.
  • Process bug reports, crashes, and feedback; work with PM and developers to prioritize fixes.
