Job Details

Role: Lead Product Owner (GenAI + LLM)
Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid) once every 10-12 weeks in reston or DC

Contract to hire

Client is seeking Lead Product Owner, including at least 2 years working with Generative AI / LLMs. The ideal candidate will have experience in backlog management, performance tracking, and developing AI-driven or chatbot-type products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive product vision and execution for AI-focused applications (chatbots, LLM integration, GenAI)
  • Lead backlog grooming, prioritization of EPICs and user stories (Jira)
  • Collaborate across business, architecture, development, compliance, and data science teams
  • Define KPIs and build performance feedback loops to guide product evolution
  • Validate AI/LLM use cases and participate in model evaluation
  • Interface with AWS tools like Kendra, SageMaker, and Bedrock (basic exposure required)


Qualifications:

  • 8 11 years in product ownership, with minimum 2 years of GenAI/LLM experience
  • Hands-on work with AI use case development and feedback loop design
  • Strong experience managing cross-functional product teams
  • Jira expertise; managing EPICs, user stories, and backlog prioritization
  • Exposure to AWS Kendra, SageMaker, Bedrock
  • Experience in chatbot development is a strong plus
  • Healthcare not required.
