The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Systems DevOps Developer to join the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name Service (DNS), IP Address Management (IPAM) (DDI) Services team in Seattle, WA; Berkeley, MO; or North Charleston, SC.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders, Network Designers, Information Security, Corporate Communications and vendors using Lean and Agile concepts to deliver solutions for the enterprise DDI (Infrastructure) services
  • Lead and perform the identification, analysis, and documentation of requirements for DDI technologies architecture, service objectives, cost and security constraints and lead the design processes to those strategies implemented.
  • Develop and implement scalable, secure automated software solutions using CI/CD pipeline methods and tools
  • Create and document designs that conform to architectural and security standards to meet business requirements, using approved processes, policies and PROs
  • Prepare, deploy, and coordinate installation of complex implementation packages per Boeing standards
  • Provide Level 3 and 4 Incident/Problem Management support in preventative, proactive and reactive maintenance to meet service restoration and service availability objectives, using analytics, monitoring tools and automation
  • Lead vendor and component research evaluations and recommendations to establish architectural direction and technical roadmaps
  • Lead and perform implementation planning for tactical multi-technology insertion projects, using established project management methodologies for the purpose of controlling quality, costs, and adherence to the project plan
  • Support off shift, on call support on a rotational basis

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience programming in Java
  • 5+ years of experience in IT configuration management planning, change management, and configuration management auditing
  • 5+ years of experience with JSF/Spring Framework/Hibernate stack
  • 5+ years of experience deploying applications on Java EE application servers such as WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, WildFly, Tomcat, or Jetty
  • 5+ years of experience developing SQL queries on databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server
  • 5+ years of experience with source control systems such as Git or Subversion
  • 5+ years of experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle
  • 5+ years of experience in network, IP addressing and IP network troubleshooting
  • 5+ years of experience in Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol services (DHCP), and Internet Protocol Address Management (IPAM) technology and systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with design, programming, and installation of network and software automation
  • Experience programming in Python, Perl, and XML
  • Experience with relational database design and Data Definition Language (DDL)
  • Experience with Network and software Architecture
  • Experience with Infoblox appliances - hardware and software
  • Experience with RESTful APIs
