Job Details

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team in Nashville, TN, for a long-term engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern data platform architecture, particularly with Microsoft Fabric components. The role will involve designing and implementing scalable data solutions to support advanced analytics, real-time insights, and business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Azure Data Factory: Design and manage robust data integration solutions, including ETL/ELT pipelines and data movement strategies by leveraging the unified capabilities of Azure Data Factory and Power Query.
  • Synapse Data Engineering Utilize Apache Spark within Synapse for large-scale data processing using notebooks and Spark job definitions.
  • Synapse Data Science Build, train, and manage machine learning models using Synapse notebooks, conducting experiments, and managing model lifecycles.
  • Synapse Data Warehouse Develop and optimize SQL-based data warehousing solutions using serverless SQL endpoints within OneLake.
  • Synapse Real-Time Analytics Ingest, query, and visualize streaming data via Kusto Query Language (KQL) databases and querysets for real-time analytics.
  • Power BI Design and implement interactive reports and dashboards. Leverage DirectLake mode to enable high-performance queries against Delta Lake tables in OneLake without data duplication.
  • Data Activator Implement real-time data monitoring and event-driven automation by setting up triggers based on data patterns from OneLake or Power BI visualizations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in designing enterprise-scale data architectures.
  • Deep understanding of Azure Synapse and Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT tools, Spark, KQL, and SQL-based data warehousing.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, particularly DirectLake capabilities.
  • Familiarity with real-time data analytics and event-based systems.
  • Ability to collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
