Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced DDI Solutions Architect to lead the architecture, design, implementation, and management of a complex global DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) infrastructure. This role is critical in shaping and securing the organization’s digital footprint, and will lead high-impact projects with a focus on scalability, performance, and cloud integration.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and implement a global DDI network infrastructure, with deep focus on BlueCat solutions.
Lead the design and management of DNS, DHCP, and IP address management environments across global regions.
Maintain address allocation integrity and ensure accurate data across IPAM systems, ARIN, RIPE, APNIC, and domain registrars.
Define service and technology standards across the network landscape and drive adoption.
Analyze performance metrics (DNS queries, DHCP leases, etc.) to identify optimization opportunities and mitigate risks.
Develop cost/benefit analysis and recommend network improvements to align with evolving business needs.
Integrate DNS/DHCP services across AWS and Azure cloud environments, including Route 53 and BlueCat integrations.
Drive network automation initiatives using scripting languages (Perl, Shell, Python).
Serve as SME and escalation point for DDI-related production issues and global network projects.
Partner cross-functionally with senior leaders, vendors, and engineers to deliver results on time and within budget.
Ensure high service availability and enhance the overall end-user experience through proactive infrastructure design and support.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing large-scale BlueCat DDI infrastructure.
BlueCat DDI certifications required.
Proficient in Microsoft and open-source DDI platforms (e.g., ISC BIND, DHCP).
Experience with DNSSEC and cloud DNS services like Route 53.
Strong understanding of core networking protocols and technologies including DNS, DHCP, IPAM, BIND, and NTP.
Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
Proficient in scripting for automation (Perl, Shell, Python) to optimize network performance and operational efficiency.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
Self-driven, collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and service excellence.
