Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced DDI Solutions Architect to lead the architecture, design, implementation, and management of a complex global DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) infrastructure. This role is critical in shaping and securing the organization’s digital footprint, and will lead high-impact projects with a focus on scalability, performance, and cloud integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement a global DDI network infrastructure, with deep focus on BlueCat solutions.

  • Lead the design and management of DNS, DHCP, and IP address management environments across global regions.

  • Maintain address allocation integrity and ensure accurate data across IPAM systems, ARIN, RIPE, APNIC, and domain registrars.

  • Define service and technology standards across the network landscape and drive adoption.

  • Analyze performance metrics (DNS queries, DHCP leases, etc.) to identify optimization opportunities and mitigate risks.

  • Develop cost/benefit analysis and recommend network improvements to align with evolving business needs.

  • Integrate DNS/DHCP services across AWS and Azure cloud environments, including Route 53 and BlueCat integrations.

  • Drive network automation initiatives using scripting languages (Perl, Shell, Python).

  • Serve as SME and escalation point for DDI-related production issues and global network projects.

  • Partner cross-functionally with senior leaders, vendors, and engineers to deliver results on time and within budget.

  • Ensure high service availability and enhance the overall end-user experience through proactive infrastructure design and support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing large-scale BlueCat DDI infrastructure.

  • BlueCat DDI certifications required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft and open-source DDI platforms (e.g., ISC BIND, DHCP).

  • Experience with DNSSEC and cloud DNS services like Route 53.

  • Strong understanding of core networking protocols and technologies including DNS, DHCP, IPAM, BIND, and NTP.

  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.

  • Proficient in scripting for automation (Perl, Shell, Python) to optimize network performance and operational efficiency.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.

  • Self-driven, collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and service excellence.
