Data Warehouse Developer

Located in Lansing MI Monday - Friday 8 - 5

Position must report to onsite work location in Lansing MI. Currently working a hybrid schedule of two days onsite and three days remote.

Overall Position Description:

The Data Warehouse developer position will perform application development tasks in support of building BI applications and integrating Data Warehouse resources into other applications. Provide expertise to other application developers in close collaboration with DBAs and other data management staff. Tasks may include but not limited to:

• Creating Data Warehouse BI applications including reporting, dashboards and other information analysis and delivery system.
• ETL and SQL development.
• Working with developers and end users to design, develop and improve database queries.
• Providing one-on-one support for developers and end users to assist them in accomplishing their data reporting needs.
• Developing or acquiring test data and initiate tests to determine the accuracy of reporting logic to produce desired results.

Required Skills

• 5+ Years Teradata Utilities Experience
• 5+ years of SQL and ETL development
• 3+ Years SQL Assistant Experience
• 3+ Years Unix Shell Scripting Experience
• 3+ Years SQL and Performance Tuning
• 2+ Years Teradata Version 16/17 Experience
• 2+ Years SAP BI Experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently
• Experience mentoring co-workers

Preferred but not Required Skills

• Business Objects Report Development
• Oracle (9i, 10g, 11g) Experience
• Experience with Child Welfare Services, Juvenile Justice, Juvenile services, MISACWIS or other related experience
• Teradata Certifications
• Teradata DBA experience
