Job Description:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES

  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating experience in Database administration with Azure SQL Server, MongoDB/Sybase and related relational databases.
  • Solid understanding of Azure cloud platform, particularly database and security services.
  • Hands-on experience with Sybase ASE/IQ database management and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in MongoDB administration, monitoring, and performance tuning.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.
  • Hands-on experience in on-prem to cloud and multi-cloud migrations.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Team player with a proactive and self-driven mindset.
  • Master s or bachelor s degree in computer science, Physics or Mathematics.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, monitor, and maintain Azure SQL databases, Managed Instances, and related services.
  • Implement Azure services such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Backup for database environments.
  • Manage performance tuning, backup and recovery, failover clusters, and geo-replication in Azure.
  • Automate database operations using Azure PowerShell, ARM templates, and Azure DevOps pipelines. Must work during the CST hours.
  • Maintain and support Sybase ASE/IQ environments, MongoDB Clusters including installation, configuration, and patching.
  • Perform database tuning, object management, and job scheduling.
  • Ensure data integrity and efficient performance of Sybase databases, MongoDB in production and development environments.
