We are seeking a RACF Consultant to support the administration, management and modernization of RACF security systems on IBM mainframes. The ideal candidate will have key experience in access control, security policy enforcement, compliance support, and mainframe identity and access management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and configure RACF for mainframe environments (z/OS).
- Develop and enforce security policies, access controls, and auditing procedures.
- Perform user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews.
- Design and implement RACF-based solutions to meet security compliance requirements.
- Support RACF upgrades, migrations, and integrations with external security systems.
- Provide troubleshooting and support for RACF-related issues.
- Work closely with other internal organizations including cybersecurity teams, auditors, system administrators, and application owners.
- Produce and maintain documentation on configurations, policies, and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience with RACF on IBM mainframes.
- Strong understanding of z/OS operating systems and security infrastructure.
- Experience with SMF, ACF2/Top Secret (preferred), or similar access control tools.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and audit practices.
- Experience with automation and scripting.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SMF, ACF2/Top Secret (preferred), or similar access control tools.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM.
- Knowledge of enterprise identity governance and privileged access management systems.
