SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES
The Specialty Applications Manager role will serve as a primary liaison to the SouthState Enterprise Line of Business Executives that leverage banking applications outside of SouthState Bank's Core Banking Application portfolio. This role will engage stakeholders, business partners and technology staff to facilitate digital transformation, helping the business lines efficiently leverage technology in support of corporate objectives. The Specialty Applications Manager plays a critical role in developing partnerships between SouthState IT and our Business Lines to standardize Application delivery and support throughout the organization by managing the technologists administering these systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide strategic direction and support for SouthState applications.
- Ensure business application support metrics are met regarding SLAs per application.
- Perform training and knowledge transfer activities to ensure that both the business and IT adopt and use banking applications efficiently, fully leveraging the technology.
- Work collaboratively to meet strategic objectives, regulatory compliance, risk management requirements, and to ensure that industry leading best practices are leveraged effectively.
- Ensure software releases and application configuration changes are tested, qualified, documented and implemented successfully.
- Engage banking application vendors for support, as needed.
- Train and mentor junior team members
- Work closely with management for normal tracking and escalations where necessary

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred
- Experience: 6+ years' experience working with Applications and Support (preferably Banking applications) in a production environment
- Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Experience with MS Suite of Applications to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Prior experience with support request systems preferred (ex. Service Now).
