Role
  • Drupal UI/UX Designer & Developer

Details
  • Hybrid position (1 day/week on-site)
  • Location: Everett, MA
  • Contract duration: 1 year, with potential extension

Top 3 Skills Needed
  • 4-6 years of UI/UX design and front-end web development
  • 3+ years of experience with Drupal 9+ (theming, site building, admin)
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards (testing & remediation)

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop Drupal websites with custom themes and components
  • Conduct content migration, taxonomy setup, and metadata management
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma or Adobe XD
  • Write responsive, standards-compliant front-end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Configure Drupal elements including views, blocks, menus, roles, and permissions
  • Lead usability testing and collect user feedback
  • Ensure accessibility compliance with WCAG 2.1, including assistive technology support
  • Optimize site performance and ensure compatibility across devices
  • Provide Drupal training and mentorship to internal teams

Required Qualifications
  • Experience with Drupal content migration and configuration
  • Familiarity with frameworks and libraries such as Bootstrap, Foundation, React, and jQuery
  • Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and system integrations
  • Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or equivalent experience

Bonus Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to train and mentor others in Drupal best practices
  • Experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $53.00/hr.
