Overview

LMI is seeking a highly qualified Agile Scrum Master to support the Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) Team within the Army Training Information System (ATIS) program. This position is responsible for leading a cross-functional Agile team within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agile Release Train (ART), ensuring infrastructure readiness, and supporting continuous integration, delivery, and security across the ATIS ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Scrum Master within a SAFe Agile Release Train, facilitating all team-level SAFe events (Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, System Demos, Iteration Reviews, and Retrospectives).
  • Coach the RFMSS team on SAFe principles, Lean-Agile mindset, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owner to refine and maintain a prioritized team backlog aligned with user needs and program objectives.
  • Foster close coordination with Army stakeholders and end users to ensure that user adoption, training, and engagement priorities are effectively addressed.
  • Work with Release Train Engineers (RTEs), System Architects, and other Scrum Masters to identify and resolve cross-team dependencies and blockers.
  • Track team metrics (velocity, iteration goals, improvement items) and communicate progress to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Drive a culture of user-focused service delivery, proactive problem-solving, and transparent communication across the team.
  • Support Inspect & Adapt events, Program Increment (PI) Planning, and continuous improvement cycles at the ART level.
  • Provide leadership and strategic planning to ensure team alignment with product vision and roadmap.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in direct support to the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
  • Strong facilitation, servant leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working with military stakeholders and managing user support activities in complex DoD settings.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with the Army enterprise training platforms.
  • Certified SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or equivalent SAFe Agile certification.
  • Experience in Agile Release Train coordination and cross-team collaboration.
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as Gitlab, Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally.

Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional travel required (e.g., quarterly for PI Planning and major program milestones).
