Position Summary
We are seeking a senior advisor to lead service maturity and quality assurance across a large-scale, multi-domain technology program. This role will focus on enhancing quality controls, implementing continuous improvement metrics, and ensuring operational excellence across areas such as IoT, Infrastructure, Security, AppDev, and Operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong cross-functional leadership and embed quality and maturity practices throughout the program.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Maturity Leadership
- Review and enhance the Services Maturity Model (SMM) across all service domains.
- Lead regular maturity assessments and convert findings into actionable improvement plans.
- Define and monitor maturity KPIs across engineering, operations, and support teams.
- Collaborate with service owners to integrate maturity practices into workflows and delivery pipelines.
- Program-Level Quality Assurance (PMQA)
- Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy across software, hardware, edge devices, and operational processes.
- Lead creation and execution of test plans, including performance, security, mobility, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Champion observability and telemetry to proactively identify and resolve quality issues.
- Ensure test traceability to user stories and business requirements using Azure DevOps.
- Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Build dashboards and reporting tools to offer real-time visibility into quality and maturity metrics.
- Track and communicate program-level OKRs, risks, and outcomes to executive stakeholders.
- Promote continuous improvement and cultivate a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory standards and client expectations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a strategic advisor to the Program Executive, CTO, and client stakeholders.
- Work with engineering, product, and PMO teams to embed QA and maturity practices into planning.
- Mentor and lead QA and service engineering professionals across multiple workstreams.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in service delivery, QA leadership, or program management.
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing Microsoft s Services Maturity Model or similar frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, test automation, and telemetry best practices.
- Proven ability to manage quality across diverse domains, including software, hardware, and edge devices.
- Strong communication skills with a track record of effective stakeholder engagement.
