Job Details

We are seeking a 3D Printed Part Finisher / Prototype Technician to support our Digital Engineering 3D Printing & Prototyping team. This role focuses on finishing, inspecting, and preparing 3D printed medical device prototypes with a high level of detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean, sand, and hand-finish 3D printed parts per SOPs.

  • Check tolerances and accuracy using calipers, GOM, and other precision tools.

  • Perform routine maintenance on 3D printers (SLA, DLP, PolyJet, FFF, etc.).

  • View model files in CAD software (Materialise Magics, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

  • Maintain lab supplies and follow Good Laboratory Practices & safety standards.

  • Assist R&D team with new 3D printing applications and finishing techniques.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (required).

  • 1+ year experience in 3D printing post-processing, machining, or prototype finishing.

  • Hands-on experience with SLA, DLP, PolyJet, FFF, or related 3D printing methods preferred.

  • Ability to use CAD software and precision measuring tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with small plastic parts.

  • Able to lift 40 lbs and follow safety protocols.
