Job Details
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Domain Consultant to lead domain-driven solutioning, presales, and customer engagement initiatives across the K-12, Higher Education, Professional Learning, Direct-to-Learner (D2L), and Corporate Learning segments. This role combines deep education domain knowledge with a strong technology orientation and external thought leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Domain Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of:
- Student Information Systems (SIS)
- Education CRMs (Salesforce Education Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics)
- LMS platforms (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, etc.)
- Assessment, grading, certification, and engagement systems
- Hands-on understanding of education workflows across:
- K-12 institutions
- Higher Education (domestic and international)
- Professional & continuing education
- D2L platforms (MOOCs, bootcamps, credentialing)
- Corporate learning and talent development programs
- Expertise in education data models, standards, and learning analytics
- Strong awareness of U.S. education regulatory and accreditation frameworks
Presales & Consulting
- Engage with clients to understand needs and define solution blueprints
- Support sales in:
- Discovery workshops
- RFP/RFI responses
- Solution demos and Proofs of Concept (POCs)
- Pricing strategy and commercial proposals
- Act as a domain SME in strategic customer conversations
Implementation & Delivery Collaboration
- Work closely with delivery teams to:
- Ensure solution continuity from presales to implementation
- Provide domain oversight during project execution
- Lead key design decisions and customer onboarding sessions
Innovation & Practice Development
- Ideate new offerings and solution accelerators across learning segments
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape roadmap items
- Evaluate and integrate emerging EdTech trends (e.g., adaptive learning, AI in education)
Marketing & Industry Engagement
- Work with marketing to create domain-focused campaigns and content
- Represent the company at:
- Industry events, education summits, and webinars
- EdTech roundtables and forums
- Contribute to whitepapers, case studies, and thought leadership articles
- Serve as a public-facing domain expert and advocate for the brand
Required Qualifications
- 12 15 years of experience in education technology, consulting, or enterprise learning systems
- Strong academic background in engineering, technology, or a related discipline
- Significant exposure to presales, customer consulting, and delivery alignment
- Proven ability to work across both academic institutions and corporate L&D environments
- Strong analytical thinking with experience in data-driven learning and education intelligence
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
