Are you a meticulous Quality Assurance professional with experience in manufacturing? Join our team as a Designated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR) Quality Inspector!

In this critical role, you will be the primary quality liaison between our company and our valued customers. You will ensure that all finished goods and documentation strictly adhere to customer specifications, acting with the utmost urgency and accuracy. This position reports directly to the Quality Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform Detailed Inspections: Conduct visual and dimensional checks on finished products by reviewing and interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical data prior to shipment release.
• Utilize Precision Equipment: Masterfully use a variety of inspection tools, including micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, height gauges, optical comparators, and high-magnification microscopes for extended periods.
• Verify Documentation Accuracy: Diligently review and confirm the accuracy of critical documents such as Purchase Orders (P/O), Certificates of Conformance, Material Certificates, Routers, and Inspection Reports (IRLs).
• Data Entry and Reporting: Accurately log and enter all inspection data, including information related to scrap, rework, rejections, and claims.
• Quality Support: Provide essential Quality Control assistance to both the Production and Engineering teams.
• Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company training, quality, compliance, and safety policies, practices, and procedures.
• Communication: Proactively inform management of any current or potential product quality issues.
• Teamwork: Thrive and contribute effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment to meet customer needs.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Exceptional attention to both visual and written detail.
• Proven ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• High proficiency in using and reading various measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, comparators, etc.).
• Must pass a mandatory vision screening and color test.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to multi-task, handle pressure professionally, and maintain a positive attitude under deadlines.

Qualifications and Work Environment

Qualifications

• Preferred: Two (2) years of experience performing QA inspection in an aerospace manufacturing environment, OR an Associate's Degree.
• Training: Must be willing to learn and obtain DSQR certification (company-paid).

Schedule

• Shift: 1st Shift Position
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (10-hour shifts are also optional).

Environment

• A clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
• Requires standing or sitting for 10-hour shifts.
• Moderate physical activity, including daily walking and the ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
• Required use of safety gear (approved safety glasses and safety shoes) at all times.

ITAR Requirement: This position includes access to ITAR technical data. Therefore, the successful candidate must qualify as a US Person (, Permanent Resident, or political asylee) in compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
